Update ID Attendance Scanner
Three steps. Always update the folder Chrome already uses — never a new Downloads unzip.
Download the tiny updater (not the full app)
Use this button. Unzip it. Do not download a versioned full zip like id-attendance-scanner-1.3.xx.zip for updates.
Run CLICK HERE TO UPDATE
Mac: double-click 00-CLICK HERE TO UPDATE (Mac).command
If Mac blocks it: click Done → System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Or run 00-FIX MAC PERMISSIONS FIRST.command first.
Windows: double-click 00-CLICK HERE TO UPDATE (PC).bat
A big dialog appears. Then a folder picker. You must choose the Loaded from folder.
Pick Loaded from — then Reload once
In Chrome: chrome://extensions → ID Attendance Scanner → Details → look at Loaded from.
Choose THAT exact folder. Not 1.3.37, not focus-scan (1).
After the updater finishes: find ID Attendance Scanner and click the circular ↻ Reload button once. Done.
Do not Load unpacked a brand-new versioned Downloads folder for an update.
Best long-term: keep one permanent folder
~/ID Attendance Scanner (no version number) and always update that folder in place.
